Jorge Oliveira - Black Belt
Head Instructor
Jorge was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1980. He trained karate for 3 years as a child, after a few years away from martial arts he started Jiu-Jitsu where he began his training with his friends Ricardo and Eduardo Arrivabene. Jorge won several state championships in Sao Paulo, but in 2011 suffered an accident that seriously affected his spine having to undergo surgery. After months of recovery he returned to compete and was again state champion. In 2013 he received his black belt from Danny Abu of Macaco Gold Team.
He currently lives in Orlando, where he just had a opportunity to open his own gym.
Lívia Santos - Black Belt
Instructor
Lívia Santos started her Jiu-Jitsu journey at a very young age and began competing at age 10. In 2019 she competed as a blue belt juvenile at IBJJF Worlds and won 2nd place Gi and 3rd place in No Gi. In 2020 she competed as a purple belt in the IBJJF Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championship where she won 2nd place in Gi. She also competed in the American National Championship in 2020 and won 1st place No Gi. Also in 2021 she got 1st place at American National Gi.
Lívia began assisting in Kids classes in 2019.
At Squad BJJ she teaches Kids class where she enjoys helping others to do their best inside and outside the mats.
